The Clarkson Golden Knights started off the year right with a 3-1 victory over Alabama-Huntsville. Even though the state of Alabama just clinched their BCS victory in football, obviously their skills in hockey were no match for the Green and Gold. Trailing 1-0 late in the 2nd period, new-comer Markus Piispanen converted on a rebound to tie the game at 1. From here on out, the Knights took control of the game and secured the victory with two goals from Tremblay and Beca in the 3rd period. Paul Karpowich was solid in net for the Knights, who improved to just 5-12-2 on the year. The teams face-off again tomorrow night starting at 7 PM.
