With the launch of the brand new Bonesaw website comes a whole new look and feel, including a whole new banner. Since this new site is wider than the old and clunky Bonesaw.org, we won't be able to use all those great rotating banners that we gathered up over the season. Rather than just throw those old banners out, I thought it would be a better idea to leave them up in some shape or form for everyone to enjoy. We ended up having 9 different banners by the end of last season, all the way from our "SLUZER" banner after we defeated SLU in Cheel, and our favorite ECAC Champions banner after we of course won the ECAC Champsionship in the Times Union Center.
So here they are, in order of appearance...
This was the first banner that was created with the website. The color scheme from the original site actually borrowed a lot from this shot.
After things picked up on the website, we decided to start a random banner rotation with a great shot of the student section that we couldn't let go.
This shot captured the intense bonesaw action in the student section after a goal is scored perfectly, so into the banner rotation it went.
An up close shot of some of the core bonesaw crew, including Max who is "The leader of the mob" according to some of the Cheel staffers. This photo went on to become "Aviators: A reflection of Cheel" and will be published in major art magazines nation wide someday.
Yeah. We needed to make sure there was proof that girls existed at Clarkson University.
A shot from the ice of section 14 in Cheel Arena, also known as the Bonesaw section. This is what the players see after they score a goal and quickly raise their sticks for a bonesaw celebration. Some of the Cheel staff didn't like us taking this picture... oops.
Ah yes, defeating SLU in Cheel Arena was indeed a glorious day for the Golden Knights. What better way to celebrate than dedicate an entire website banner to the guys in red?
When it was time for the seniors to bid their farwells in the last regular season game in Cheel, the crowd demanded a bonesaw in the form of a chant. "Bone saw bone saw bone saw!" the crowd yelled relentlessly, needless to say their demands were met.
What a way to top it off, huh? The Knights captured the ECAC Championship in the Times Union Center, defeating Quinnipiac in a come back 4-2 victory. We just wanted to make sure that the visitors of Bonesaw.org knew right away what happened that night.
The random banners will make their return soon in their new shape and form on the new and shiny Bonesaw.org. We'll see what happens as we carry on through the 2007-2008 hockey season. It's already looking to be a great one, and we can't wait to head back to Albany to win another championship.
