Bonesaw.org is no longer an actively updated source for Clarkson Hockey madness. It was a ton of fun serving the fans of Clarkson Hockey for the 100 or so years that it lasted. Bonesaw.org will now serve as an archive, forever documenting the rise of the Bonesaw from 2006 - 2009. The Bonesaw is still going strong for Clarkson Hockey, but unfortunately Bonesaw.org does not have the active staff necessary to keep it updated regularly. If you think that you can get involved somehow feel free to contact us. May the saw be with you.
I hope everyone out there is enjoying whatever they celebrate this fine winter break. I know a lot of you must be missing your Golden Knights hockey, and the bonesaw mayhem that goes with it.
To hold you over until the next battle in Cheel Arena, I have a nice set of clips from the CU vs. Princeton game. It was actually recorded from a high ranking Bonesaw Brigade member's parents from a non-student seciton area. So if you were ever wondering what the student section looked and sounded like from a concerned parent's point of view, this is for you.
I wander around the internet a lot in my free time, and I've come across a lot of strange videos in my day, but I thought this one was particularly interesting especially for this website.
Blendtec releases these crazy videos of them blending almost every object imaginable, and this time their object of choice was a hockey puck. Actually, 3 hockey pucks. Do they blend? Well, watch to find out:
I wonder if they can blend the Omega Bonesaw. I guess it wouldn't really fit into that blender though...
With people waiting in line starting Monday night, and the student section being filled with seat fillers right at 4 when the doors opened, the electricity was in the air. By 6 PM there were rumors that both Santa Clauses were predicting a CU victory.
The game started with very sloppy puck handling by everyone on the SLU team. Clarkson, though very aggressive and showing near dominance over the puck, was having some trouble holding onto it as well. But, the Knights drew blood first as Shawn Weller scored with only 7 seconds of play left in the first period.
The second period was long and filled with pauses as several icing calls and penalties lead to a drawn out scoreless period.
But, with the good always comes the bad, and early in the third period, the SLUzers finally tagged one onto the score board, tieing it up, 1-1. A presumed Golden Knight's goal only a few minutes later was overturned after the ref reviewed it with Instant Replay. Then, Clarkson jumped in joy again as Guthrie shot it past Tisi in SLU's net. In desperation, the Saints pulled their goalie, and Weller capped off the game with an empty net shot.
After frustration and a lot of fun, the Knights tie things up in the ECAC on their way to NUMBER 1, letting the fans raise the Bonesaws 3 times as they skate all over the SLU(t) SLUzers 3-1!!!!
Some other quick things to mention:
Instant Replays are only used against us.
D'Alvise cracked a SLUzer in the face with his stick.
It's that time of the year again. Except this time its akwardly placed on a tuesday night. That's right, its the home game against SLU on the ice of Cheel Arena.
The doors open at 4pm, and of course huge crowds, maybe even hordes of people are expected. The Bonesaw Brigade will be in attendance, and they will be in full force. No backing down, no censoring, no holding back: this is going to be brutal. I personally expect there to be at least 5 or 6 freshman sacrificed at this particular game. Hopefully we can grab some SLU freshmans though.
This is the time to be louder than you've ever been, crazier than you ever been, and unleash the fury on Cheel Arena. I mean that in a good way. Don't come in and like... burn down the arena or anything. That'd be bad. Unleash the fury more in a sense of screaming and yelling, chanting insulting things to SLUzers, and more importantly: destroying the SLU goalie's spirit.
We'll try to get as many photos and videos as possible so you may relive the experience on bonesaw.org. Oh, and make sure to wear your awesome new Bonesaw shirts so we can see how big the brigade has really become.
That's right, there will be 150 more T's available to ANYONE who has the $10 to pay for them. They will be on sale from 5 PM - 7 PM on Monday up at Cheel, and again starting at 4 PM on Tuesday before the SLU game. First come, first serve, sizes vary, so if you want yours come early.
Only one thing could have made this a better weekend for ECAC Hockey, and that would have been a second loss for the SLUzers. But none-the-less it was a great weekend. Last night the boys in Green and Gold took on Brown all the way in Rhode Island.
Rutherglen scored on a power play in the first period, putting the Knights ahead, as the period ended 1-0. Brown came back with a score in the second, leading into the third 1-1. But, Cayer delivered the final blow in the third period.
The Knights send Brown right where they belong, giving the fans 2 Bonesaw opportunites, winning 2-1.
Since the SLU(t)s won against Yale, Clarkson will be playing for a tie for second place in the ECAC on Tuesday. Bring your saws, bring your facepaint, bring your BADDITUDE!!! Only three days away, the biggest game of the season is nearly upon us. May the Savage be with you.
The Knights are in lower New England this weekend, playing Yale tonight and Brown tomorrow. This is an important weekend, because both games are ECAC games, and it all leads to the SLU(t) game on Tuesday. Going into tonight, Clarkson is behind SLU in the ECAC with a 2-2 record, while SLU holds tight, 4-0. But this weekend could tie things up.
The Green and Gold got off to a good start, though, winning over Yale tonight, 4-1. The icing on the cake is that SLU lost, so all we need is for the same to happen tomorrow, and we go into Tuesday with a tie in the ECAC, and a better overall record than SLU.
There will be 150 more Bonesaw Brigade T-Shirts up for purchase this coming week. There will be a table at Cheel from 5-7 on Monday night, as well as starting at 4 on Tuesday, all the way up until about a half an hour before game time. So come quick and grab one for yourself, they will be first come first serve.
